About Galileo Testnet
Titan Network is honored to announce the launch of our fourth test network — Galileo Testnet. This name comes from the great astronomer Galileo Galilei, who was the first scientist to discover Saturn's rings (although telescope limitations at the time led him to mistake them for satellites). He pioneered the study of the Saturn system, laying important groundwork for subsequent research of the Saturn system, including Titan. This naming not only continues our tribute to the spirit of astronomical exploration but also symbolizes our important transition from theoretical testing to commercial implementation.
How to Participate?
The Galileo testnet offers multiple participation paths, each with corresponding incentives:
Core Features
Business-Oriented Resource Network
Architecture designed around client needs
Focus on PCDN sector, prioritizing China and Southeast Asian markets
Business model validation through paid scenarios
Continuous optimization of network performance and service quality
Innovative Incentive Mechanism
Introduction of test tokens (TNT4) with withdrawal support to Titan wallet
Cross-chain asset interoperability with OSMO through IBC protocol (Coming Soon)
Technical Validation
Deployment and testing of key business smart contracts
Verification of cross-chain interoperability with OSMO
Essential support for mainnet launch
Infrastructure
Nurturing quality node operators
Optimizing node geographical distribution
Enhancing network performance and stability
The Galileo Testnet marks a crucial step towards Titan Network's commercialization. We look forward to working with community members and business partners to build Titan Network into a leading decentralized resource network.
Milestones
Titan Network's testnets are named after important historical figures who explored Titan, carrying forward their scientific spirit while showcasing our project's development trajectory:
Huygens Testnet (First):
Named after Christiaan Huygens, who first discovered Saturn's largest moon Titan in 1655
As Titan Network's first testnet, it marked the beginning of the project's technical exploration
Validated the feasibility of the core network architecture
Herschel Testnet (Second):
Named after William Herschel, who gave the moon its name "Titan"
This phase defined the project's technical positioning and development direction
Completed comprehensive infrastructure testing
Cassini Testnet (Third):
Named after the Cassini probe that deeply explored Titan
Achieved deep technical breakthroughs and system optimization
Established a complete network performance monitoring system
Galileo Testnet (Fourth):
Named after Galileo, honoring him as the pioneer in Saturn system research
Marks the project's transition from technical validation to commercial application
Integrates the experience and optimization results from the previous three testnets
This development trajectory demonstrates Titan Network's clear technical advancement path, with each step inheriting the spirit of exploration and driving continuous breakthrough in new dimensions.
