⚖️Reward Rules
In the Cassini testnet, participants have the opportunity to earn rewards by running a Titan L2 node through two main methods:
Basic rewards
Resource rewards (Proof of Availability, POA)
The following is a brief overview of these two reward mechanisms:
1. Basic rewards
Definition: Basic rewards are rewards earned for successfully running a Titan L2 node. Rewards accumulate every 5 seconds. Basic rewards incentivise nodes to stay online.
Reward base varies from device to device, the specific rewards from high to low are as follows:
Mobile: Smart Phones
Desktop: Windows and macOS
Other devices: VPS, edge IOT devices, etc.
Currently, the coverage of some edge IOT devices is not yet complete. If you have suggestions, please feel free to contact us through the community.
2. Resource Reward(Proof of Availability, POA)
Definition: Proof of Availability is the mechanism used by the Titan network to verify the validity of resources and provide services. For the first time, we introduce real orders from business customers into the Cassini testnet.
POA task types:
POA-Hot Storage/CDN Rewards
Resource validation and reward mechanism:
Verification frequency: 48 checking time windows per day (every 30min), and the resources of L2 node are verified in 12 random time windows.
Spot check verification: the L1 node randomly checks the file fragments stored in the L2 node and verifies the file integrity by comparing the hash value.
Reward and Penalty:
Reward: nodes with consistent verification receive POA bonus points to encourage maintenance of data integrity.
Penalty: nodes with inconsistent verification will not receive rewards and will be punished appropriately (no penalty in the current test network) to guarentee network quality.
POA-Tunneling Network Rewards
Bandwidth Reward
In the Titan network, L2 nodes now support running WASM/JS container runtimes, which can be deployed on the node to run project. It also gives you a direct bandwidth reward. This is a reward for the investment of your resources while ensuring an efficient and stable network.
Reward Details:
Downstream Traffic Reward: When your node consumes downstream traffic. This traffic consumption will bring you bandwidth reward.
Upstream Traffic Reward: When your node consumes upstream traffic. This part can also get bandwidth reward
Future Prospects-POA Task Contracts and Reputation Vectors:
The reputation vector is a comprehensive evaluation system that covers multiple dimensions of scoring, such as recent reliability and resource scores (storage, bandwidth, computation), etc. Nodes with high reputation vectors will be prioritized for executing task contracts and will earn higher profits.
