💾Apply to become an L1 Node for higher earnings

Preferred by IDC servers

L1 nodes can provide more services for the Titan Network and will also receive higher and more stable earnings.

Roles and Significance:

Primarily serving IDCs and stable infrastructure providers, L1 - Guardian Nodes play a critical role in:

  • Providing high-quality storage, bandwidth, and computing services, in coordination with Validators and Edge nodes.

  • Monitoring and assessing the service quality of Edge nodes, as scheduled by Validators, and reporting these evaluations back to them.

Online Availability:

Must maintain 24/7 online presence.

Staking

Staking is required (not during the testnet period), but there is no fixed service duration limit; you are free to join and leave at any time.

Configuration requirements:

  • [Tentative] CPU: 16+ cores

  • Memory: 16GB+

  • Storage: 10TB+

  • Bandwidth: 200 Mbps up/down

  • A fixed public IP address (IDC)

Probation period:

Every new Guardian node that joins Titan is required to undergo an evaluation period. This probation lasts for 86,400 block heights in the Titan Network (with each block height equivalent to 1 second). Nodes will not earn rewards during this time to ensure that the node's stability, resource quality, and security performance are adequately assessed.

Throughout the probation, Validators will conduct extensive checks on the new nodes to verify compliance with standards and to rule out any potential malicious activity. If a node successfully passes the evaluation and meets the service quality criteria after the probation period, it will then begin to receive earnings. The probation period is crucial to maintaining the Titan Network’s stability and security by ensuring that only qualified nodes participate.

Cool-down Period:

All Guardian nodes wishing to exit the Titan Network must observe a mandatory cooling-off period, set at 259,200 block heights (with each block height equivalent to 1 second). The countdown for this period begins immediately after a withdrawal request is made on the blockchain.

During the cooling-off period, nodes are required to maintain normal online status and continue contributing resources. Nodes will still receive rewards throughout this period. Once the cooling-off period concludes, users are able to withdraw their staked tokens and any earned rewards.

Should a Guardian node exit forcibly during this period, the Titan Network will apply penalties to safeguard customer interests and ensure network stability.
