1.Multipass connection error

Problem Description

When encountering the error message: "cannot connect to the multipass socket", it's usually related to driver configuration.

Troubleshooting Steps

1. First, check current driver settings:

multipass get local.driver

1. Check the output:

• If you're using VirtualBox as virtualization platform, output should show virtualbox

• If output shows hyperv , you'll need to change the driver settings

1. To switch to VirtualBox driver, execute this command:

multipass set local.driver=virtualbox

1. Follow-up Actions:

• If issues persist after above steps, run the repair function in Multipass installer

• Restart related services after repair

• Ensure VirtualBox is properly installed on your system

• Administrative privileges required for executing commands

• Multipass services may need restart after driver modification

2.Error

Solution:

• Open your preferred browser (Chrome, Edge, etc.) and visit: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/cpp/windows/latest-supported-vc-redist?view=msvc-170

• Click Visual Studio 2015、2017、2019 和 2022 , then select and download the appropriate version

• Install Visual C++

• After this, you can run the VirtualBox installer successfully.
